Xi Jinping has pointed out throughout this year that China and the West are the important strategic partners, and that the two sides should understand and support each other. China is willing to expand bilateral trade with the West, actively promote cooperation projects such as port logistics, smart cities and clean energy, strengthen cooperation with third parties in Latin America and Africa, and deepen cultural exchanges between the two countries.

   Xi Jinping has emphasized that despite the outbreak of the new corona pneumonia, China-EU cooperation has great potential. He anticipates that China-EU relations will have new opportunities and various challenges in the future. The key is to understand how to properly manage differences and maintain the tone of mutually beneficial cooperation. He hopes that the Spanish government will continue to play a constructive role in promoting the stability and long-term development of China-EU relations.

   Xi Jinping has highlighted on different occasions that this year marks the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The Communist Party of China maintains friendly relations with more than 560 political parties in more than 160 countries. The two parties should strengthen exchanges between political parties, deepen the exchange of government experiences and contribute to the development of the two countries in accordance with their own national conditions and with the intention of improving governance worldwide.
