On July 1, the twentieth anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to the motherland and the inauguration ceremony of the fifth government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region were held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.

   Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, president of the state, and chairman of the Central Military Commission attended and delivered important speeches.

   He stressed that the central government adheres to two points in implementing the “One Country, Two Systems” policy.

• First, it is unshakable and unchanging.
• Second, it is comprehensive and necessary to ensure that the practice of “One country, two systems” in Hong Kong is not distorted and always goes the same way.
